For a long time sleep was something of a mystery. However, over the past few decades sleep scientists have uncovered many of the secrets of sleep and their findings are incredible; quality & quantity of sleep not only affects mood and hunger, but also our risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia and a host of other serious illnesses.
In addition, having some down-time in our lives is essential to combat stress and to mitigate the impact that this has on inflammatory processes in our body and our immune function.
